Creating an FTP account

FTP accounts let you (or a developer) upload files directly to your hosting, outside of File Manager.

1. Open your website's dashboard, then FTP from the Domain menu.
2. Click Create FTP account, choose a username and a folder (usually public_html), and set a password.
3. Use the host, username, and password with any FTP client (FileZilla, Cyberduck, etc.) — port 21, or SFTP on port 22 if your client supports it.
