Creating and managing a MySQL database

Last updated August 2026

Most real applications (WordPress included) need a MySQL database to store their data.

  1. Open your website's dashboard, then Databases from the Domain menu.
  2. Click Create database and give it a name — a matching database user is created for you automatically.
  3. Use phpMyAdmin (linked from the same page) to manage tables directly, or plug the credentials into your app's configuration.

You can reset the database user's password at any time from the same page if you lose it.
